Judith 6:10 Then Holofernes commands his servants (his tent-guards) to seize [Ammon's General] Achior, and deport him to Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}, and deliver [Achior] into the hands of the Israelis.
Judith 6:11 So Holofernes’ [soldiers] seize [General] Achior. They haul him out of the camp into the plain. They [ride west] from the central plain into [Israel's] hill country. FInally they arrive at the fountains beneath Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. Bethulia = Bethel.Judith 6:14 The Israelites rush down from their city. They find [General] Achior. They untie him. They escort him up to Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. They present him to the governors of the city. | Holofornes Moves His Troops To Attack Israel | Judith 7:1 The next day, [General] Holofernes commands his whole army, and his other supporters at the war camp, to move from Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}, to first capture the [strategic] high places of the hill country, to make war against the Israelis.
Judith 7:3 And they camp in the valley near Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}, by the fountain, and they spread themselves in breadth over Dothaim even to Belmaim, and in length from Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim} to Cynamon, opposite Esdraelon.Judith 7:6 But in the 2nd day Holofernes brought forth all his horsemen in the sight of the ‘sons of Israel’ in Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim},Judith 7:13 For all the inhabitants of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim} have their water from [the fountain]. So will thirst kill them. They'll give up their city. We and our people will go up to the tops of the nearby mountains, and will camp upon them, to watch that no one goes out of the city.Judith 7:20 Thus all the company of Assur remained about them, both their footmen, chariots, and horsemen, four and 30 days, so that all their vessels of water failed all the inhabitants of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}.Judith 8:3 As Manasseh stands overseeing workers binding sheaves in a field, the sun's heat beats down on his head. He falls on his bed, and dies in the city of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. The [Israelis] bury Manasseh beside his fore-fathers in the field between Dothaim and Balamo.Judith 8:11 S o the [Governor and elders] come to Judith. She says to them, “Hear me now, governors of the inhabitants of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}: for your words that you have spoken before the people this day are not right. [I despise] this oath which you made and pronounced between Elohim and you. [How could you] promise to hand over our city to our enemies, unless within 5 days Adonai [YHVH] turns to help us.Judith 10:6 Thus Judith and her maid go out to the gate of the city of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. There they find standing there [governor] UzziYah {YAH's-Strength} and city's chief elders (Chabris and Charmis).Judith 11:9 Now concerning the matter, which [Ammonite General] Achior spoke in your council, we've heard his words. The men of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim} saved [Achior]. He told [us] every word he spoke to you.Judith 12:7 So Holofernes commands his guard to let Judith [go pray]. So after staying in the camp for 3 days, she ventures out in the night into the valley of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. There she washes herself in a fountain of water by the camp.Judith 13:10 The maid puts the General's head in her meat-bag. Then Judith and the maid walk together (like normal) to prayer. They exit the [Assyrian war] camp, then they walk around the valley, and hike up the mountain of Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}, and come its village-gates.Judith 15:3 They also that had camped in the mountains surrounding Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim} fled away. Then the ‘sons of Israel,’ everyone who was a warrior among them, rushed out upon them. | Israelis Get Rich Raiding The Invaders' Stuff | Judith 15:6 And the remaining [soldiers] camped at Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim} fall upon the camp of Assur [Assyria (Success)], and spoil them, getting rich.
| Judith Retires In Peace | Judith 16:21 Then every one returns to his own inheritance, and Judith returns to Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}, and remains in her own property. All her life stays honorable in all the country.
| Judith Dies in Honored Old Age | Judith 16:23 Judith goes on to increase more and more in honor. She grows old in her husband's house. She reaches her 105th year. She frees her maid. [Finally] Judith dies in Bethulia {House-of-Yahweh-Elohim}. [Her relatives] bury her in the cave [where lies] her [long deceased] husband Manasseh.
