TROY SAYS:

5.0

"What could have been a fine story wound up as babysitting TV entertainment. Has some cinematic qualities in places. In other places, dreadfully talky. Riddled with annoying script problems in character emotional continuity and POV. Produced by Whitney Houston. Julie Andrews is way too classy to be in this movie. Appears to have partially inspired High School Musical. Antagonism is almost completely absent. Lots of gags which don't work at all. Ends well. Could have been amazing with a better script and more attention to detail."

β€œKind of a fun little silly fantasy: shy awkward girl becomes a reluctant princess. The very ending actually has some depth. Pretty clean.”
