"Thanks to Richard Gere's talent and good looks, the movie manages to hold your attention reasonably well despite the protagonist doing almost nothing but listening and staring. About 20 minutes too long. Almost entirely dialog-driven. Some decent mind-freaks. One of those mystery movies that never solves the mystery. Forced ending. The writers don't tell you why you just spent the past two hours in quasi-suspense... because "We're not allowed to know..."" GENIE SAYS:
