TROY SAYS:

Great 7.8

"PROs: Many supremely beautiful shots. About two hours of excellently written and executed shots (within the 3 hour+ run time).
There is a completely wonderful story here, but it's dog-paddling in puddles of silly nonsense.
Naomi Watts is a flawless vision of emotionally expressive acting.
The good parts are must-see cinema. There has rarely been such beautiful cinematography as in the best scenes of this film.

CONs: Way too many cooks in the kitchen. About one hour of material should have been cut, either because it's too slow or, as in the case of the jurasically-botched brontosaurus chase scene, just downright stupid material badly rendered."

GENIE SAYS:

Good 7.5

“5 big whopping ugly GD's and a way-long running time soil what is at its core a lovely family film.”
