our weapons are not carnal

Jesus used that in every temptation - he said, "it is written..."

We don't need an army for protection

God is our protector
No weapon formed against us can prosper
It is a battle but we don't need to fear

Rom 13 its high time to wake up ... take off the ... of darkness, put on the armor of light

not just some of the armor - put every peice on- every piece is important and interconnected
breastplate is a bulletproof vest - bulletproof breastplate
Belt holds everything together - keeps your pants on
If the belt of truth comes undone, the rest of the armor falls apart

David threw off the King's armor - said he didn't need it - God would protect him

this armor will quench the fiery darts of the enemy
weapons are not of this world
Paul says: "to timorthy endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ- no man who wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life so he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier

special issue heavenly equipment - nothing can penetrate it- the Breastplate covers your heart- your feelings, emotions, desires, will

submit yourself to god, and the devil will flee from you draw near to him

be sober, be vigilant, for your adversary the devil is roaring about like a lion

Put on the lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh
