It started about 10 years ago when you came to my church, Istrouma Baptist in Baton Rouge, LA.
Shortly after that, I had to write a report on what I wanted to be when I grew up (I was in the 3rd grade).
I've always wanted to be a musician.
Part of the assignment was to interview a musician, I e-mailed you with some questions about travelling on the road, etc.
Our little Q&A was put into my report, along with a picture of you two.
That report got shoved in some drawer and survived our move to Texas in 2001.
Since then I have [re-]found it a couple of times and it has made me happy that I have not changed "what I want to be when I 'grow up.'" A couple of months ago while my mom and I were packing up my room, we found the report in my drawer of memorabilia.
It is something that I will always keep and look at to remind myself that I have definitely chosen the right career path.
I am now a Freshman at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX (10 hrs away from home) majoring in Music Education (voice).
