Chatterbox Echo Lies To Hide Zeus' Infidelity
OUTSIDE AT THE LAKE OF MYSTERY IN THE DAYTIME:
Arch-god ZEUS and beautiful one-eyed goddess EYE-O KISS, suspended above an idyllic lake under Mount Olympus.
Little ECHO FLITS in, TICKLES Zeus & Eye-O's noses.
{ BAM! } Eye-O BATS Echo.
EYE-O
Get outta here, Echo.
Echo FLIES head over heels over the lake.
ECHO
(mocks, under breath)
Get outta here, Eye-O.
Zeus & Eye-O FLY to a secluded spot.
Zeus KISSES Eye-O.
Echo sees big haired goddess HAIRAH STORM toward Zeus.
ECHO
(Pulls Zeus' beard)
Zeus!
ECHO
(Pulls Eye-O's ear)
Eye-O!
Echo THROWS a tantrum on Zeus' shoulder.
ECHO
You're in big trouble!
ZEUS & Eye-O KISS, ignoring Echo.
Echo STOMPS on the heads of Zeus & Eye-O, POINTS at Hairah.
ECHO
Your wife! Hairah!
Zeus and Echo see Hairah STORM toward them. Zeus goes BUG-EYED, POOFS cloud-cover over him and Eye-O kissing.
Hairah BLOWS away the cloud, sees Zeus KISS a giant one-eyed BULL.
HAIRAH
(yells at Zeus)
I know that's Eye-O!
ECHO
(mocks)
I know that's Eye-O!
HAIRAH
(threat)
Mock me one more time, Echo.
ECHO
This is my milk cow. She gives me milk every mooring. See I just reach between her legs and squirt the milk.
Echo GRABS the bull's balls. The Bull KICKS her into the forest of fear.
Echo STICKS in a tree, from where she watches Hairah DRAG the bull to a celestial pen.
HAIRAH
I'll get you too, Echo!
Echo's face TWISTS in fear. She STRUGGLES out of the tree, FLIES into the forest of fear.
